The award presentations to the winners of the OHADA Best Writing Prize are often awaited events which officially mark the end of each edition of this competition.. Under the sixth edition of the Best Writing Ohada Prize, It is the prestigious law firm D2A SCPA Located in the heart of the city of Cotonou in Benin which welcomed the first award ceremony.

The said ceremony took place Friday 26 July 2024 in the presence of an audience of guests. Beyond the physical presence, The said ceremony was organized in a bimodal format by means of the Zoom platform.

Official speeches

At the start of the ceremony Master Nicolin Assogba, representing the cabinet D2A SCPA a on behalf of the cabinet rented the efforts of all the components (scientific committee, jury, International Organizing Committee, partners, candidates and winners) which allowed the unfailing fulfillment of edition n ° 6 of the price of the best writing ohada. He also praised the dexterity of Mrs Arlette BOCCOVI, President of the jury of this sixth edition in the conduct of the work of this jury in which he actively took part alongside his peers.  

Following him, Docore Jairus Agossadou, President of the Foundation for African Law and Representative of the International Law Society praised the Professor Henry Désiré MODI GRANDFATHER BEBEY, dedication of the 6^e edition of this competition, the Professor Joseph Djogbenou, Chairman of the Scientific Committee of this edition of the competition, the Professor Yvette Rachel Kalieu Elongo, scientific committee, le jury, The International Competition for the Competition of the Competition, the cabinet D2A SCPA And all participants in the winning or not competition.

The word was then given to Professor Henry Désiré MODI GRANDFATHER BEBEY, dedication of this sixth edition. His word was essentially a word of thanks imbued with emotions. It was with modesty and deference that he paid tribute to the founding fathers of the Ohada, to his elders(e)s, as well as other major contributors to the writing and systematization of OHADA law. He also praised the honor which was made to him as a dedicatee 6^e edition of this Prize, for his contribution during 5 First editions of this competition at the head of the scientific committee. He did not fail to greet the work shot dead by the actors of this sixth edition. For conclusion, he said OHADA is a chance for Africa, incited the support of other states and congratulated the laureates of the publishing which bears his name.

Following him, Madame Professor Yvette Rachel Kalieu Elongo spoke on behalf of the scientific committee. She praised the quality of the work of the participants and the winners of this sixth edition. She congratulated the winners and praised the courage of the candidates who with great humility accepted to be evaluated. She urged future participants to show perseverance and excellence for the influence of OHADA business law.

Ensuite, Mr. Samson Norman, coordinator SIRE OHADA, spoke on behalf of the partners and transmitted the congratulations of the latter to the winners.

The president of the jury, Mrs Arlette BOCCOVI, praised the dedicatee - Professor Modi Koko Bebey ; the president of the scientific committee - Mr. Professor Joseph Djogbenou represented by madam Professor Yvette Rachel Kalieu Elongo ; the members of the scientific committee and all its colleagues member of the jury; partners; winners and participants. She expressed her gratitude to the organizing committee of this competition for the brand of trust which was made to her as president of the jury of this edition launched in November 2023 and during closing. After reading the deliberation of the jury for this sixth edition, She praised the different qualities of participants and winners in particular. She wished to persevered unrained candidates and encouraged them to repeat their participation and their pursuit of excellence.

Following these interventions, Beninese winners have exposed to the public the quintessence of their award -winning work. The first presentation "The autonomy of the will in the face of the imperativeness of OHADA law of commercial companies : the articulation in question "was that of 3^e Winner of the category Best article , Monsieur Mahuna Rodrigue DAVAKAN. The second presentation "the financing of companies on a low -budget in OHADA law in terms of the contractualization of the law of commercial companies" was that of the 2^e Winner of the Best Article categorye, Monsieur Mahougbé Odric HOUNDEKON

Before the ceremony fence, a special mention was dedicated to cabinet D2A SCPA by the International Organizing Committee for this Prize as a recognition.

Senegal and Cameroon will host the next award ceremonies.
