Scientific day on the standardization of OHADA obligation law

The Study Center, of Research and Foresight in Africa (CERPA) will organize the 17 et 18 october 2024, a major event on the issue of standardizing the law of obligations in the OHADA area.

The objective of the scientific day is to deepen the reflection on the standardization of the law of obligations in the OHADA area while verifying its adaptability both to the challenges of globalization and the realities of the African continent..

More specifically, it will be :

  • To analyze and assess the draft uniform text on general law of obligations in the OHADA area
  • To identify the challenges and opportunities of the harmonization of the law of obligations
  • To carry out a comparative analysis of the draft text with other internal and international texts
  • To discuss innovative models of the law of obligations adapted to African realities.
